The conference will cover six topics that will offer numerous practical benefits to more than 1,000 human resources professionals, employee relations workers, managers, consultants, legal experts, lawyers, and individuals interested in labor law, assisting experts and businesses in promptly and accurately resolving legal issues that arise in their operations.

Throughout the event, participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with leading industry experts on pressing topics from a legal perspective that businesses are currently and will be confronting. Naturally, the practical resolution to these concerns represents the core value that businesses will derive from this year’s conference.

Phuoc & Partners - Agenda Labour Law Conferece

The sub-topics in the conference are intimately connected to the main topic and will assist businesses in gaining a better understanding of legal issues related to employment and in maintaining sustainable labor relationships amidst global stability.

🔷 Topic 1: A comprehensive analysis of the amendments to the Labor Law in 2023 and their impacts on businesses, including Decree 70/2023/ND-CP, which modifies Decree 152/2020/ND-CP, outlining regulations on foreign workers working in Vietnam and the recruitment and management of Vietnamese workers working for foreign organizations and individuals in Vietnam. Also included is Decree No.13/2023/ND-CP of the Government on Personal Data Protection (“Decree 13”), dated April 17, 2023.

🔷 Topic 2: Strategies for resolving labor disputes outside of court (Alternative Dispute Resolution for Employment Disputes). This includes an analysis of the advantages (such as flexibility, confidentiality, reduced costs, and faster resolution time) and disadvantages (such as lack of legal binding, potential power imbalance between parties) of using ADR compared to court proceedings.

🔷 Topic 3: Strategies to Maintain and Optimize Benefits Under the Impact of the Economic Recession from a Legal Perspective and Human Resources Support and Development Strategy. This refers to policies and strategies to support employees during difficult times, such as training and skills development, psychological support, in conjunction with Labor Law and Legal Compliance compliance.

🔷 Topic 4: The Role of Trade Unions in the Resolution of Labor Grievances and Disputes, and the Promotion of Democratic Dialogue in the Workplace: This section introduces the ways in which trade unions contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a democratic dialogue environment in the workplace, and their role in fostering understanding and consensus between workers and management. It also discusses the skills and strategies of trade unions in negotiation and mediation, the challenges and opportunities they face in the modern era, and shares real cases and case studies.

🔷 Topic 5: Addressing Challenges in Managing and Working with Specific Employee Groups: This includes female workers, disabled minors, elderly workers, and “Specialties” (C-level executives, in-house lawyers and legal staff, human resources, and members of the Trade Union Executive Committee). The section explores how conflict resolution differs from that with regular workers. It also addresses specific legal and regulatory issues related to labor, and how businesses comply with these regulations. Case studies and practical experiences are shared, providing practical insights from businesses that have successfully managed and worked with specific employees.

🔷 Topic 6: A Simulated Dialogue Session with Workers Emphasizing the Importance of Dialogue in Labor Relations: This section begins by explaining why dialogue is a crucial component in establishing and maintaining harmonious relationships between management and workers. It presents the fundamentals of effective dialogue, such as sincerity, respect, openness, and empathy, which form the foundation for all effective dialogues. The importance of listening and communicating effectively, feedback skills, and how to process received information are analyzed. Instructions on how to handle conflicts during dialogue and find mutually beneficial solutions are provided. Methods and strategies for negotiation and persuasion in the working environment to achieve optimal results are presented. The section also analyzes how corporate culture influences and integrates dialogue as an integral part of organizational culture.

This conference will provide an opportunity for participants to approach real-life situations and learn how to solve difficult legal problems they encounter in their daily work at the business. In addition, this event also provides an opportunity for networking between professionals and businesses in the labor field, as well as finding new partners, customers and collaborators in the industry.
