A labour contract is an agreement between an employee and an employer on a paid job, salary, working conditions, and the rights and obligations of each party in the labour relations. A labour contract is considered as one of the legal bases for the parties to the labour contract to protect their legitimate rights and interests when a labour dispute occurs. In addition, the Labour Code 2019 further guides that in case the parties reach a written agreement which is not named the labour contract but its content contains parties’ agreement on the paid job, salary, management and supervision of a party, such agreement shall be deemed to be a labour contract.
